Big Bad Curtis!
Once again, I got to photograph another great guy. Curtis was such a good sport. We started early Saturday morning when it was very chilly outside, but it didn't phase him one bit. We found some great new locations and Curtis definately worked it out! Thank you Cindy for allowing me to shoot your very cool son!
One of my favorites:
More to come.

Really into dramtic black and whites right now
So, these are some of my favorite b/w shots from Jacob's Senior shoot. I really love the dramatic shadows and contrast of these images. If you use photoshop CS2 or CS3, you can download a great set of free actions at www.thepioneerwoman.com/photography
I used those actions to process these images of Jacob.

An old soul...
is how I would describe Jacob. I didn't really know him very well before our shoot because he is not in any of my classes, but by the time we were finished, I felt like I had a pretty good idea of what this guy is about. There is a wisdom about him beyond his 18 years; he is smart, genuine, and has a good heart.
We had an awesome opportunity to shoot somewhere noone else will get to. The west end of the Osborn building has been under remodeling construction for some time now. The day we stopped by, the cement floor had been poured the day before, but not much else had progressed yet. So, I popped in to ask Riley if we could shoot in there, and he thought it would be OK. The crew started framing in the walls the very next day, so we just happened into a one day opportunity! It turned out to be a great urban location!

For a girl who kept saying
"I've never really had my picture taken professionally before!" You sure wouldn't know it from these shots. She worked it out, don't you think?!? These were for a quick (as in 5 mins) session outside the high school. Maybe I can convince Veronica to go for a full hour and a half shoot!

I am on a roll...
In the last four weeks I have photographed four great senior guys. Meet Trent: not only is he smart, but he is a seriously talented athlete as well. I have watched this kid play football for four years now and he continually leads his team into any given game with grace, honor and dignity. But the best thing? He lives his life off the field with those same qualities.
The M.H.S. all-time single game passing record!
And the lovely Ali!
