Katy could barely contain herself until the beginning of July when Curtis would arrive to make her his bride and take her back to North Carolina with him to embark on their new lives together. She waited impatiently for her hero to return home to say "I do." The wedding was an outdoor affair with the evening sun illuminating the landscape. They exchanged their vows and then danced under a covering of stars.
